
About the project
In collaboration with Ektefaa and Wathba, BEAM has worked on a comprehensive research process aimed at assessing the social, economic and cultural impacts of urban development areas. The project conducts a community field survey of the popular neighborhood (Al-Mursalat) in Jeddah, to identify the target communities, the standard of living, and the nature of relations within the community.

The main objectives of the project
- Measuring social, demographic, educational, practical, economic, environmental, health, safety and quality of life indicators among current residents of the popular neighborhood (Al-Mursalat).
- Measuring the SDG and UN-Habitat indicators for adequate housing standards.
- Documenting the social, health, educational, housing, and economic needs of slum residents.
